Something soft, something yellow

I got weak.
I had some beautiful Alpaca yarn to make socks with but I failed because I am only learning to make socks and they are hard. So I gave up. Didn't know what to do so I asked the lady at the yarn store. She said make a scarf, add some Mohair yarn and it will be loose, soft and pretty. And so I did, I bought Mohair to match my Alpaca...I cannot wait to wear it!

Honestly. I have to stop making new projects!

Look at the lucscious Alpaca and Mohair, they make a great fuzzy pair! And there is the scarf in the background on the needles...

This little creamy yellow guy is being made for a little someone without a name yet.
It's going to be mixed with white. Won't take me long. When it's done, it's taking a trip across the North Sea and over the Atlantic Ocean to an Island on the north-east coast of Canada.

I almost forgot! Michelle tagged me with a book meme.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have any books around at work. I use the Internet, you know :) And if I looked for a book at home, it would be cheating, wouldn't it?

You tagged all my blog mates there, too ;) Anyhow, I'm very flattered to be tagged by you. I hope the next one will be more fitting for me too.

Maja: The mohair and the alpaa are lovely...I love the way it feels...very squishy and soft.

Michelle: The book is Strange fits of passion by my favourite author, Anita Shreve. I have almost every book she ever written, I have only 2 more to buy. She's really good at writing.

Smek: no worries!!!

Probably not a man's author but I have enjoyed several of Anita Shreve's books too.

I like the look of that little yellow blanket :)

man I really dropped the ball on this but here it goes:

"On the field of battle, the spoken word does not carry far enough; hence the institution of gongs and drums. Nor can ordinary objects be seen clearly enough: hence the instituion of banners and flags.

Gongs and drums, banners and flags, are means whereby the ears and eyes of the host may be focused on one particular point."

Wow. That was lame. Apparently there is a reason I have had that book for years withot reading it.
