I'm not quite sure what this will be yet, but let me think about it while I drink a nice Starbucks cappuccino and watch the F1 race :)
Yes, that's exactly what it wanted to be...and all I had enough fleece for as I was only spinning up scraps.
If you want to make one too, it's fairly simple and takes only a minimum amount of yarn.
I spun up a dk or sport weight yarn...either would suffice depending on how big you want it to be.
All you need is a size G/4.25mm crochet hook, about 30 yds of dk or sport weight scrap yarn and of course, a button.
Chain 25 and sc every row until piece measures 3"inches/7.6cm from starting chain.
When you have reached the end of your final row, sc around the corner onto the short left side for about 3 sts, chain 4, skip 2 sc, then sc the last 3 sts. You should be at the end of the short row. You have now made the button hole at the top of the purse. (Depending on what yarn you have used and how many sts/rows it took you to get to the 3" mark, it may take more or less sts, just make sure that your button hole is centered)
Continue again in sc around the corner and onto the starting edge and sc 5 times. This is where you will want to take the left side of your work and fold towards the right so it is even with your last worked sc. Holding both pieces, you will sc from front to back into both edges till you get to the end. Break the yarn.
Turning your work to the other side, starting at the bottom of the purse, attach working yarn and continue in the same manner, holding both sides so as to make a seam and sc till you reach the top of the opening only. Do not sc till the end. Break the yarn and weave in all your ends. Sew on your button and your done!
Finished measurements that I have for this is 3" wide and 4" tall with it open and 2 3/4" tall with it closed.
Your stitch count may vary from what I have noted because I used handspun yarn. The directions should be simple enough to understand where everything is placed. If your not sure about something then please send me an Email or leave a comment here. Thank you and enjoy!
