I love my momma so much!!!!!!
Yeah I know I should say mom or mother, but I don't care. I love her and I miss her all the way back home in the USA.
She really means a lot to me and I know she will not always be around because life goes on and we get older and at some time in our lives we go to a better place. My momma is super strong and will be here for another 66 more years. Even though she has a type of cancer that most women do NOT live through, she has done the complete opposite and beat the odds. She still has it, but she's in remission now.

I just wanted to share this picture down below because it was one of the best moments in my life with her. I took her to New York City not far from my hometown about 2 years ago. It was a trip for just her and I. We went to Madam Tusaudes wax museum right off of Times Square and had to get our pic taken with the HULK. We had such a good time there that weekend.

We were on MTV the first day, we went to a fine Italian restaurant and went to a comedy club as well and shopped a lot and walked all over the city. We then went to see where the Twin Towers once stood, then met up with a friend of mine and stood in Battery Park and looked at the Statue of Liberty and then walked all the way across the Brooklyn Bridge. I was so proud of her that she did not stop, not once till we got to the other side!! We even had to go into the subway because walking back was not an option. Also, she needed to actually get down underground for the experience of NYC.

When we went there, my momma had cancer. We did not know it yet though. It makes me really think a lot that she is really precious to me and that at any moment I could have lost her in that wonderful weekend. I'm glad she's a strong woman and I couldn't ask for a better mom.

We both look nothing like this now...it's so funny!
Love ya mom !!!!!!

School

Well I had my 2nd day of school today to learn the Swedish language. It was interesting and I have to admit it's fun. I wasn't sure what it would be like to be back in school again but it's good. I have met some new people who are in my class that are very nice. I never thought I would ever see myself in a foreign country sitting in a classroom with people from all over the world like Jordan, Africa, Iran, Phillipines, China, Brasil, Russia, Poland, Australia & Spain. I am the only American in my class and it seemed a little strange at first to be the only one from my country there, yet at the same time it felt good. It's hard to explain.

The teacher is really nice and he is from Austria so when he says some things to us he has an accent which is hard to understand all his swedish words because of it. In the end we get it and he speaks NO english at all in class..it's all Swedish, everything. He takes his time and repeats things till we understand what he's saying, and if we still do not get it then he will explain in english. Two people in the class don't even know english so I think it might be harder for them. I also do my best to use what swedish I do know to ask questions when I don't understand. I can go all day without speaking english in school, only because it's very basic right now.

Either way I am happy I am doing this and getting the chance to do it so I can understand people here more and what more can I ask for in life then to be fluent in another language? In 6 months the class will be over and we should all be able to get by in swedish in everyday life and hold a normal conversation. I'm excited to do this!
All my pictures are loaded..yay..not all labeled yet. but at least it's done.

I also started my first day of Swedish school yesterday, will tell more about it later ciao!

Farm Animals

Paul and I went for a walk to Bläsebo which is a part of Hjällbo today and we came across some funny things....like goats and pigs..lol
The goats just wanted to get scratched on the back, which I did through the fence....and the piggies just wanted scratched behind the ears, which I did that too.

Was funny though because I was snorting at the one pig and he would snort back. Made me laugh. I didn't take a picture of that piggy though.

Here piggy piggy !

Last night we catered for 60 people. Two people had their 40th birthday and well....we were there for hours!
I never catered before so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was easy enough, only the fact that to get ahold of the woman there who was to pay us, was rediculous. We sat there for an extra 2 hours basically just waiting for her. I was upset...anyways here's some pix.

Just some thoughts and bullcrap....

Well I know I haven't exactly been the best 'poster' as of late, but for some stupid reason I always seem to think I have to have pictures..lol
Not this time.
So where do I start? I have been watching a lot of movies lately, which is good because I always wanted to do things like that back home in the USA but I always didn't have the time. Paul downloads them and we watch them all, whether they are good or bad or just plain weird, we watch them.

Last night I got to watch 'Memoirs of a Geisha' it was so good and I was just so surprised at how well it was done. Tonight I watched 'The Queen' I know it just came out in theaters but who said you have to go to a cinema to watch it before it really comes out on dvd?

Other then that I watch shows like...yes. American Idol...I know, don't say it but I like it. I don't vote, though I did say I was going to this time. I think this is the best one ever so far since Kelly Clarkson.

I also took a good look at the local news website back home and seen the really bad snowstorm they are having. Why the heck don't we have any snow now?? I am in Sweden, not Africa, so why all the warm weather here? Though the other day it was freezing! Global warming.

On another note...I belong to a web forum for Americans living in Sweden and there has been an issue here with people obtaining ID cards, Immigrants like me in other words. I already have my ID card because I am married to a Swede so it was easy. I feel terrible for those who have been trying to get one since the new year and dealing with the new laws. It is now, that you must be a relative to a Swede to get one, no longer can someone you know (a swede) vouche for you. This stinks because there are people who move here for work etc...or for whatever reasons, and they can only drive on their license for a year and then thereafter they must get a Swedish one.

Without the ID card you cannot do a lot of things, One is get your license and another is pick up packages in the mail (I know from personal experience that the passport isn't good enough) There are other things too...so why do they let people in this country then tell them they can't have an ID card? What are these people going to do if they have far to drive for work etc? Not all of them are lucky like me and live in a city where you don't need to drive because there are trams and such. Just burns me up. However I know they had reasons for their harsher rules, but for pete's sake..ease up! Turns out 'The Local' got wind of it alond with some other people and now something is being done...finally. Their new rules didn't even last a month!

If you want to read more about it, click on the link 'My Google Reader' to the right. You can click on the links on that page to read more about the article if you like...mom..lol
It's new so I will add things here and there that I would like to share.

I am realizing their are things I will miss once I am back home. Sweden has something called Päronsoda is one. (pear soda) It is sooo good it's unreal and then there are little candies or in swedish 'godis' that I really like. One is a little blue ball of something..Hard to explain what it is but I will miss them, good thing I just got here in December...I have a long way to enjoy them yet. They have some sort of blueberry danish here and an apple danish as well thats my fave..We have them too of course back home in the USA but these just look different so to me they are..lol

What else? Oh yeah...still waiting on the bank and stuff about a cafe we want to buy...We were hoping for something by now but sometimes you have to wait for things you want the most. On Saturday though we have to cater a group of 60 I think they said it was. This ought to be fun as I have never catered before in my life. I was a chef...but to cater? I'm told it won't be bad...good!

Late enough as it is so I will shush my pie-hole for now.

Tired

We went for yet another walk today. It was gorgeous out and not a cloud in the sky, so why not? We went somewhere we haven't been before. We set Ty loose to run around a little bit without the leash and I think it wore him out because at one point he came to me and looked at me like "Please put the leash back on!"...so I did.

I didn't realise till last night how far up on the mountain we are. We are litterally living on top of a freaking mountain. There is a spot near here where I walk the dog that you can see the entire city below, and until last night I didn't realise we were this far up..it's crazy and had I my regular camera instead of my cell phone cam, I might of been able to get some nice pictures. Though I have to say, all my post pictures come from my mobile...works really nice!

Anyways, I don't have anything to say at all but babble. Tyson is alseep near me fighting to keep his eyes open, letting out one big snore before he drifts off into dreamland...
He is filthy!!!!
