The weather can't decide if it wants to be humid as all f**k or nice or rainy. pissing me off. i wear something decent because it's pouring and thundering...then when i get home its f**king humid..so i change clothes.. i run to the store fast and then get home..its beautiful out but humid as a f**k inside. i dont change clothes...screw it.

I got up today, fed my kids....then we got mom and went to the mall. she was happy to be out...but she couldn't take much. not after her surgery and all... i bought some summer clothes and another pair of shoes, sandals actually...mom bought clothes too. i had to go to the grocery store so i took mom home, figured out my checkbook and seen i had just enough for food and money for the week....i spent too much for food!!!! mom and dad said they cant get over how i spent that much and i should not have done so especially since i just gave mom money for helping out with whatever. i'm like that because i don't sponge off of people. so i have a little cash to get me through the week.

Anyways....i'm hungry. again...i ate tacos, made tacos for everyone because it was fast and its so damn hot...the kids had a late lunch at Mc d's coz i was on the way to the grocery store and they ate on the way...when we got home i cooked...so soon...and they each ate 5 tacos!!! now they are playing..playstation or xbox.. i dunno, they got both up there but its all they do is sit in their room and play the stinking thing..lol

the kids were funny at the store though...chandler asked me if i wanted him to push the grocery cart.. i said no thanks sweety i can do it...it was super heavy....he says, just as someone was walking towards us in the aisle...' jeez mom all i did was ask to push the cart for you. i'm trying to be nice and you scream at me, what kind of mother are you? all i could do was laugh...what timing!

caleb wanted to buy a $10 toothbrush.. i said no...you'll get a new one every few months..get the $3 one and be done with it...all the way at the end of the aisle he decides to tell me he brought his $20 and wants to pay for it himself. whatever suits him...so he puts back the toothbrush...goes and gets the expensive one and proceeds to tell me that his toothbrush has to match the brand of his toothpaste..jeesh!

Also big news....Chandler will know on Wednesday if he will have the High Academic Achievement Award...which means he has had the best grades ever in school history!! So far there are only 2 other plaques up there from other kids...and this is since the school has been built....40-50 years ago !!! maybe more not sure...This means his grades will have far exceeded those two before him who got the awards....I can't get over it. I know he is smart but jeez!!! I'm so proud of him. He is in 5th grade and does 7th and 8th grade school work right now and he told me today he is bored with it. i think I have a genius on my hands!!!

When mom was buying clothes she said that the sales tag on a pair of shorts said 20% off the price and asked chandler how much it would be then..within seconds he told her...he makes it seem simple. he figured it out before caleb got it on the calculator...crazy stuff! plus...he was acurate with the calculator....i think somebody is going to college on a scholarship...and probably before his time... every year he gets more and more smarter and has to move up more levels with every grade. he already skipped one grade...should be more but....not yet..maybe soon.

Hot the next!

I'm knitting and crocheting and for the first...well 2nd time in my life, I am about to complete a pair of socks. they are funny looking becase of the colored yarn I chose and they are for my momma....anywho...

Work is work, same job I worked at before I moved to Sweden so it was like riding a bike.

Me and my boys are going to do something this weekend, but considering it's going to rain, I guess it won't be riding bike like I planned.

Fathers day is comming....I'm still on the swedish calendar so I can't forget.

I also still have a bit of a problem with swedish because at work I kept trying to speak it only to say 'yes' and 'thank you'....eventually I am guessing that'll go away.

In other news........did I say it was HOT outside? usch!!!!

Now that I am not working in the kitchen anymore, I can let my nails grow...problem with it..it's a pain in the ass to type now!!!

It's pretty hot outside.
Perfect for the holiday weekend.
Caleb is upstairs playing playstation and Chandler is camping with his dad.
Dad is on the couch watching tv and mom is sitting there STILL unraveling my yarn.

I have been outside quite a bit today but it's crazy hot out. Felt like my skin was on fire kinda hot. I LOVE it!!

I started knitting a new pair of socks last night for my mom...almost done with the first one.

Dad and I went to the grocery store yesterday before moms party and I seen SOoooooooo many items of food that I have missed like crazy while I lived in Sweden. I've had quite a lot of things I missed already and they made me half sick. Not used to it, but now? Now I can eat anything again. I don't have to think about what I will eat. I just grab it....just grab whatever at the store...and make whatever comes to mind when I get hungry. Wasn't that easy for me over there because the stuff I wanted wasn't as easily accessable. I learned to eat what was there but my god I missed a lot of shit from home.

I seen a lot of family members yesterday when they came to moms party, people I haven't seen since I left almost 2 years ago. I missed them. Then my brothers wife was here too and she was just in Denmark for 2 weeks and came home thursday. It made me laugh when she told me things that I already knew about. She even asked me to translate a website, that was in danish for her...wasn't so hard...few words were spelled different, and few words I never seen before but I got it figured out. Was a nice feeling to know I can read another language. made me feel real good.

Was strange at first to be here, but now I feel like I never left with the exception of a few things. Like the emails I got lately from my friends in Sweden....made me miss it but not enough to leave this place, my friends, family and everything that makes me who I am.

Time for a change

Well my life has changed.
I live in the USA again....
I'm really happy to be close to my family.
I wouldn't change it for the world.
My mom is sick with cancer, home from many hospital trips recently and seemingly trying to do better. Her cancer is growing again though because she cannot have chemo until she's stronger. I'm worried about her and I love her to bits!!!

Other things in my life have not been so good though.
We won't mention what thats about really..lets just say I prefer being single again over anything.

My kids are getting big...my voice cracking 13 year old is funny and almost as tall as me....my 11 year old is well....he should be 40 years old the way he is...gotta love them!!!!!!!!!!!

Not everything is perfect but I'm happy...so happy it's unreal. I forgot what it's like to do what I want when I want, nobody screaming at me or making sad excuses for why they can't work..oh my...
I love being back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say Whaaaat??

Well I haven't exactly been blogging lately.
I have been busy with my mother in the hosptial and trying to sort through a few things back here in the USA.

I kind of have to laugh when something happens like today...I go to the mall to get a card for wireless internet for my laptop....While waiting, a girl walks in the store and the alarm goes off. One of the guys who works there says pretty loudly.."Stop and get down on the floor!! What did you steal????!!!"

Then he laughs and tells her he is just joking, she just walked in the door. I KNOW for certain that will never happen back in Sweden. I can't just get over how different it is here between the two countries. When the guy who intalls the stuff on my laptop looks at the keyboard he says 'Whats all these extra buttons for?" I told him I bought it in Sweden and they are vowels we don't have in english... then he proceeds to ask me to pronounce them...come on now.

I felt...overwhelmed by the difference. I guess I am still having a culture shock even though I have been here a week and a half. They just don't come out and say stuff there like they do here in the US...I'll get over it I guess.

I've been lazy

I have been so busy here that I forgot to blog, so I am going to make a quick post.
I'm here in the USA, taking care of my momma.
She's just had an operation, she seems to get a little better everyday, then she goes downhill, then up again.

It's hot here. Seriously. I knew it was humid in the US but I forgot just how much. It's only going to get worse.

Well thats it really....time to eat breakfast and clean up some things for my mom and so on...I still haven't really unpacked and I have been home for...this is my 3rd day I think..usch!
