Whats new do you ask?

Well, I have the weekend off of work.
My sister had an operation today, which I have to find out how it went...She's living in the US.

Uhhm...I'm exhausted!

Oh yeah and it actually rained today..oh wait, it rains everyday.

Big thing, I got my Swedish taxes done, all except for the signing of a paper and my American taxes are done, and in fact I am just getting ready to pay the bill for the nice man in Stockholm who did them for me. A lawyer from New York who, obviously, lives here now and is being very kind and helpful to others, like me, who can't wrap our minds around about how to file for one country when you live in another.

Knitting news? Well, I am in love with my yarn..I have a pattern I am going to make that I am in LOVE with!!!!!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

The only difference that I will be making to these is that it will only be brown and pink, no white, and no pom-poms on them........Aren't they cute??????????????? I'm only going to use 1 shade of pink also.

I am DYING for a pink and brown 'something' to go with my brown jacket. Actually I noticed that this person who made these left a detail off. There are supposed to be tall pines on the cuff of the mittens. They are after-all named "Squirelly Swedish Mittens"...can't have swedish without tall pines!

These green ones will be what mine look like, but again, in pink and brown. OOooooooo..Love-them!

Another Birthday!

Today my youngest son turns 11 ..woohoo!!!

I've caught something in my tummy, I think from a co-worker? Or maybe from somewhere else. Might be a touch of the tummy virus, but I feel better today then yesterday. My boss had the nerve to ask me to work today, on my day off, after I told her last night I was ill, and I was severly ill last night. I almost passed out and I had a fever among other things.... Is she dumb?????

Buggin'

So today was funny as shit!
I go into work, everything is normal, fine and good. Great even!
We had a bit of a stupid, close call incident. Was really funny actually.

It was just me and Joakim and Linda at work today.

So anyways, I am working and Linda is getting ready to leave soon, shes in the other dining room in the back getting dirty dishes and stuff....i'm at the cash register for a sec coz she was back there. Joakim was....cooking I think, yes. So these 3 women come in the restaurant, the one peeks in the back dining room and just barely catches a glimpse of Linda.

They come flashing their badges from Skatteverket...I get nervous. I don't know why, but I do. So I ask Joakim to talk to them. They want to see the book we are to write our names, personnummer and time in and out. He goes to get it and catches a glimpse of Linda comming in the back way, that must be when he tells her they are there. Mind you we are all legal tax payers but you MUST write in this book, not just your time sheet, but this too...

So as he looks he realizes she never written her name and stuff in there from this morning. He goes to write her numbers and name in the book quickly but the one woman comes back and is right up Joakims ass before he can do anything, so he just hands her the book. I go in the back to put lids on something or other that was sitting on the counter....Joakim comes back..sees Linda and half whispers half yells at her to go back to the trashroom and hide, now!!!!!..which is back through the courtyard.She does just that....

So I didn't know why he told her that but my first thought was she wasn't paying taxes? Then it hit me I didn't see her name in the book this morning. She forgotten to do it. So the one lady then comes back to me and asks me "Ditt namn och personnummer?"I say my name but before i could get my personnummer out she asks me to write it. So I do, the she asks me in english if anyone else is working today and kinda peeks around the corner. I said "No, only me and Joakim working today" and she says she thought she seen someone else here... I said nope. I wrote my info down for her. She goes back out the front and I heard her say to the other 2 ladies she thought there was someone else.

So I go back up front....I help a customer, then I start cooking. The ladies leave. Joakim goes out the back to tell Linda it's ok to come back in.....She's not there! But the 2 bottles she was holding were there..lol...on the trash bins. He asked me "Where did she go?" So we go frantically looking for her..she is nowhere!!! nowhere in the enclosed courtyard or in any of the doorways that lead to outside streets. It's cold and raining...she has nothing on but this silly dress she has to wear for work...

I remember she had pants on....but when you went back on the trash room, her dress was there!..lol....so anyways, we go back to work, we figure maybe she didnt understand what was going on and thought Joakim was pissed at her and she left? But without her coat, mobile or anything?? Why is her dress there in the trashroom?

I ended up calling the owner telling her what happened, and Anna laughed...I wanted to know if Anna heard from her..nope. So me and Joakim spent the last hour laughing about this stupid thing and where Linda dissapeared to. Turns out she lives next door and we figured she just went home and will come back later for her things. Wait..her keys are with us too..lolWhat happened???

I get a phone call, a woman saying "Hej, jag heter Linda och jag undrar om du har ett bord jag kan booka?" I think and say...No we dont book tables here...I think then say..Linda?? and she says Ja..det e jag!So she asks me if its ok for her to come back now...hahahaha!!!!!!

Turns out she wasn't sure what was ging on at first, then she realized it had something to do with the people from Skatteverket. She had a shirt on under the dress. So she wasn't chancing seeing those women outside, she took it off,the dress, went across the street to her ex's apartment and waited awhile to see if everything was clear now. She came back, we laughed and then she went to change and went home. She was finished work at 1.30 and those women came like 1.15
Problem is...If you don't sign the book when you come in and they make a surprise appearance, then the owner will be charged 12,000 kronor...thats like.......1,200 dollars..lol
We got lucky!!! I told Linda to sign it soon as she starts work from now on, just in case

Tyson and I were out today for a litte after I came back from the city with Tatiana. Her and I had a nice little walk to a cafe called Cappuccino. It's really nice there and her and I both like it. She said next time we should watch a movie..yes!

So anyways it's gorgeous, really beautiful out and I came home and took Tyson Bajskorv the crazy dog out to the benches behind the house, and of course he went nuts, as he always does every spring, over pinecones. I have tried twice to upload 3 pictures that I have taken, but apparently they don't want to show up. I just get the box with the red x in it...I'll try later!

Tomorrow is monday, another day off..woohoo! I am going into central to meet with my friend Tatiana in the morning. Tuesday after work I have a meeting, along with everyone else who works there...sigh*
Whats the point? I hope she (boss) plans on telling me something either interesting, or something I don't already know.

So I should be writing something...

Well, It's Thursday and it's 11.30am and my lazy ass just got out of bed.

Uhmm...Nothing has been going on except for me and my love affair with my knitting. I cannot stop. I don't know why. I just can't.
I want these socks done.
I want to wear them.
BAD!

I also want to finish this baby blanket I started, which I am going to work on today some more. I need to finish my doily and get a move on with the scarf. Though seeing as it's practically spring here, I am in no hurry to finish the scarf now..sheesh

I have the weekend off, but I work tomorrow, then I have monday and tuesday off too I think. I can get some major knitting done. I need to get a life.

Yeah yeah

I have been busy working and knitting up a frenzy and trying to learn to knit socks that I have put looking at blogs and even writing on mine to the side. Shame on me! Anyways, I have the next 2 days off so I thought, what a good way to start it off by blogging and reading others.

The weather here has been so-so. We actually had a little sun for once. Moms still in the hospital trying to get better and me? Same shit. Work...knit...relax...blah blah..Actually I like my life. Even on bad days, I love it. Whats not to like?

So I will leave it at this, go read my blogs and start working more on those socks I am trying so hard to make, for the 4th time!!!! I know once I get it down I won't be able to stop making socks...I can't wait!

I finally got my invite to Ravelry.com today. I have so much stuff that it will take me forever to get pictures of eveything and loaded etc....In time though...just need to be patient.

For now, I feel like I have hit the mother-load. I want to knit everything!!!!!

Something soft, something yellow

I got weak.
I had some beautiful Alpaca yarn to make socks with but I failed because I am only learning to make socks and they are hard. So I gave up. Didn't know what to do so I asked the lady at the yarn store. She said make a scarf, add some Mohair yarn and it will be loose, soft and pretty. And so I did, I bought Mohair to match my Alpaca...I cannot wait to wear it!

Honestly. I have to stop making new projects!

Look at the lucscious Alpaca and Mohair, they make a great fuzzy pair! And there is the scarf in the background on the needles...


This little creamy yellow guy is being made for a little someone without a name yet.
It's going to be mixed with white. Won't take me long. When it's done, it's taking a trip across the North Sea and over the Atlantic Ocean to an Island on the north-east coast of Canada.

Spring?

It's really beautiful outside today.
I took Tyson out for a walk and I couldn't get over how nice it is.
A bit early in the year for this, especially seeing as the only snow we got was a dusting a few weeks back.

I can hear the birds chirping from where I am sitting and I wonder if they too are messed up because of the sudden change in season. It is still winter though it doesn't seem like it. At least for today.

Those birds are really going a it. I also can't believe that there is not one cloud in the sky. It has been dark for weeks. It is not supposed to be this light yet this early on in the year. The world sure is changing. All I want is a good snow-fall that lasts for at least a week. I will be so happy then.

Not a lot going on here really. I am going to try again at knitting socks. I found a pattern for two needle ones, the only thing is, that I have to sew them up really carefully up the back we'll see what happens! I am just waiting for P to come home from driving school, then I guess we will play on the x-box for a little bit.

My mom is in the hospital, again. I don't know what I will do with my parents. My dad has problems with an anurism in his brain, my mother has cancer and....I don't know. I was hoping I wouldn't see this happening to them until I was at least closer to 50. You never know what life is going to throw at you. The worst thing, I can only do so much from Sweden. I know my sister and brother will do all they can.

Baking, Bunnies & Puppies

So today I am baking. One is a banana cake and the other is a lemon cake, which is just getting ready to come out of the oven. We were at a family friends house the other day and they have a pet rabbit which is like a cat to them. It runs loose etc...She is so nice...though the one picture she looks evil..lol...She even knows to go inside her cage to poop and pee!
