You've got to see this!!!

View Video
I never laughed so much in my life!

Anyways, besides that, I just took a pic of these flowers that my in-laws have growing here because I thought they were pretty. Except the one sunflower looks a little...sad.

We had sun today..AND it was my day off..woohoo, 'bout damn time too! I am sick of rain..... I even got to go pick more blueberries today with Paul and make a cobbler out of it. Was really good. All except the fact that we got eaten alive by mosquitos, and also the fact I found 2 ticks on me...ehhh! I seen deer tracks in the forest and also I am most sure one was moose tracks. It was HUGE!! I'm terrified one day I might see a moose..hehe..seriously though! I'm scared of them.

I seen something black and white too in the forest. I think it might of been a skunk, but not sure, it was too fast. Paul seen a mouse....I heard a bird flapping its wings near me at this one spot we were at, and because I am terrified, I thought maybe it was a moose flapping its ears against his head, you know, to shake flies off of it? I dunno, but after a few seconds I realized I was being stupid. Oh, also I seen an ant-hill. Now because I had never seen one in my life before I didn't know, not until Paul told me. Well naturally I had to go investigate.....with a stick..hehe...lets pray for those who died in the massacre...

So anyways, within seconds I had so many crawling up my shoes and pants. I freaked, did a little shreek, and tried to climb up the rock to paul...but like a dumb-ass I slipped. I got them all off of course...but there was thousands of them!!! The hill was at least as high as my hips..eeeshh!...He told me they get bigger then that. For some reason I thought ant-hills only existed in Africa or something...I dunno why. But anyways, their little hill got smushed a few times, or poked I should say, with my stick...and I stood there poking at it saying 'Where's the queen? Let's find the queen!'...yeah. I wonder how many I killed? Those little feckers are quick!

Cafe Cappuccino

Thats where Tatiana and I went for lunch today. I enjoyed myself especially since I haven't seen her since school. Afterwards we talked for a few, she gave me a gift she brought back from Belarus, her home country, and then we walked to Brunnsparken and went inside the mall. We got some great deals on a few things.....

Not much going on today really. Just going to sit here at home and enjoy my time with my husband before work tomorrow. It was a little nippy outside. Kind of feels more like autumn right now instead of the middle of summer. It's only 14c (57f) out there.

Here are 3 little pictures I took while we ate. Stupidly I forgot and should of had someone take a pic of me and Tatiana sitting together..oh well! Next time. It looks nice outside but the picture masks the bitter cold wind. People have their jackets on but wear shorts..duh!

If you click on this picture to make it larger you can see the guy in the front, the one who's looking inside, he wears a coat but also shorts..hmm..

Nya Ullevi Stadion

Paul and I went for a walk the other morning while we waited for the dentist office to open...We came across Scandinavia's largest football (soccer) stadium which is here in the city. Its called Nya Ullevi...its magnificent to see in person, absolutely huge and looks like the sides will fall in from the way it's shaped. It seems as though only the light poles are holding it up, but we know that isn't true, looks are deceiving.

I have two pictures here.
One I took myself.....

And the other I found online which was taken from the Liseberg tower.

Anyways, Tyson and I went for a little walk towards Hjällbo today, and guess what we found when we walked off the trail and into the woods?
You guessed it, blueberries!

As for the link on Hjällbo...thats the one spårvagn stop I see every single day, the same one for at least 6 months now..sigh*
Funny, I just found a lot of photos..THIS one is going into Centralstationen.
LOOKS kinda gross in this pic..lol
Anyways, I just realized I think thats one of the older ones anyways..actually all of them are a few years old and it looks much better now then it did before....
So thats all I have to say really.
Boring.

Hurricane Central

I have two days off work finally!!!

I woke this morning a little stiff and sore and even my hands hurt.
I am glad it's over.
I haven't really done anything but go to the store for some things...and make a cake.

I gave Tyson a bath and brushed his hair and Caro cut his nails..he is one pissed off dog! He's on the couch watching rap videos with paul...this dog always watches TV for some reason and when he sees something he doesn't like he barks at it like he's actually going to scare the tv or something.

Uhmm...I don't really have much to say...oh yeah, my brother Jim made a home video from the pig roast that my sister hosted on saturday..I was SOOOOOOOO happy to see everyone because I miss them a lot. I can't wait to visit them in september..thanks Jim for that video. Oh and my sister is comical in it, very nationalistic....she is like USA Kimberly not Sweden..From the United States of America this is for you!!...
I think she might of been drunk..lol..kidding...she is just something else and I don't know anyone like her. She is the best!

If you want to have a peek, there are two parts to it...
HERE and
HERE

This is Louise to the left and Tove to the right....

Maja to the left and Alexandria to the right....

We all sat down to eat on Sunday after the hell day at work....it got to the point where I actually could not cook any food for anyone and people were waiting 20 minutes to get what they ordered...We ran out of plates...people were getting upset, but when you come to eat somewhere and all the seats are full inside and out...and there is a line all the way out the door to the edge of the sidewalk, then don't expect to have your food right away. Some got a little angry but if they opened their god damned eyes they'd see it wasn't exactly lonesome-ville. It felt good to sit with the girls and do nothing for 15 minutes.

Sometimes I get a kick out of it when they ask me if they can get something to eat. And I just think to myself, why are they asking me? Just get something...But then I remember I'm in chargeand thats why they ask...but still, just get something to eat if your hungry..I'm not hitler on these girls. They know what they are doing. For the most part I don't tell them to do anything..... Sometimes I do...but it's rare. They just do their thing. I'm not used to being the one who is in charge...really I am not. It's funny to me and I just smile to myself sometimes at work when they come to me for things....Kimberly we need this and that and this and that...can you order it?...and can we eat something??...anyways..enough of that.

Funky Monkey & other weird shit

Funkey Monkey takes on Gothenburg, Sweden and the lady in red who won't get the hell out of my camera view!!!!!!

(He's one high-tech super chimp??)

(I like his shorts, shows off his legs!)

So anyways as I said, I was going to get off at a busy spot in the city on my way home from work..which I did only because my origional spårvagn didn't come on time and I took the first one that came after, which meant switching rides at the busy spot.....This lady in red was ALWAYS in my view just when I had a good pic of thousands of people..like she had eyeballs in the back of her head that told her to move to the left everytime I hit the shutter button...bitch.

Stepping off the spårvagn..she's there....

Turning the corner to cross the bridge, she's there!

Walking across the bridge, another good shot,(or so I thought) but she's there..AGAIN!!! Looks like I'm stalking her.

Then!! Finally I have a good one...This f&$king guy comes from nowhere!!! He is blocking the horde of humans between the buildings. Where's Funkey Monkey when I need him?

So I try this angle. No good. only a dumb shot of the tram tracks and the stupid Kebab shop..blahhhh! But if you click on the pic to make it bigger you can actually see other humans lurking about. Not that you care anyways.... usually there is 3 times as many Swedes here, so crowded that everyone bumps into each other, but it was a bit cooler out today so they all started hibernation I guess.

I seen my friend Martha though after I took that shot...not that it's important to you or anything.

Oh yeah and this is Tove at work (pronounced two-vay)..hehe...... look at her silly, old style, American diner get-up.
This is Maja making a cappuchino. Nice dress!..hehe

Småfolket

Well I got to sleep in a little bit today, so instead of being at work at 6 am, I didn't have to start till 10 am, which was nice because I am working 9 days straight. Killer! I feel better then I have been but still too tired to do my workout.

I run into some funny people and talk to some strange ones and see even weirder ones at work. Where I cook is kinda right in the open so customers can see..I dunno why it's like that but I work better when there isn't 100 people staring at me....either way, people are freaking weird.

I seen so far a guy come in, with work clothes on, BUT he didn't have the traditional work pants on, he had on a work skirt! I had to look twice because it was just odd. I overhear people saying how it's cute that we are'trying' to be American, but we just aren't cutting it right....Little do they know that the American cafe' I work in just happens to behold a real live American, within hearing distance, who can hear and understand them..ME! And maybe unbeknownst to them all Swedes understand english..for f*&ks sake! Oh yeah and when I looked at this one table who were saying shit yesterday, they shut up so fast..hehe...... I laughed on the inside.

Some Americans come in wanting something special or just being plain snotty. Whereas when a Swede sees what is on the menu, they take what they want, they don't change it or ask for anything special, or ask for this extra or this without or please can you add more cheese????

No. BUT!!! For some strange reason they take advantage that we are an American cafe and they think..ohhhhhhh choices, lets change it up a bit and fuck with the chef..ME!...then they walk down the street maybe later in the day and go to another cafe and order whats what and leave it be..they don't ask for specialties..ugh!

I like Swedes..I really do. They are a funny bunch of people and Ilike to watch them when Iam out in the city comming home from work, or like today when I stopped at the mall for a few things on the wayhome. They just wear whatever they feel like wearing, doesn't matter if it matches, looks really bad or whatever. They just wear it and it fascinates me. They wear it well and everyone does it and it's cute. They layer clothes like crazy in a weird way....They are something else. Then in the middle of all this, you see the Al-qaida group gathered in the middle of the mall talking like they swallowed their tongues....strangers from Bulgaria or whatever sitting outside the mall on their hands and knees rocking back and forth begging for money. Everyone ignores them.

If you have ever been to New York City then you have been to Gothenburg Sweden as well, because when the sun comes out, Swedes come out of the cracks in the walls ...like roaches..all of a sudden they appear and you wonder where the hell they all came from. If I think about it I will stop at one of the main stops within the next day or two and take a few pictures with my mobile. It's rediculous how many people there is here...It's like the Macy's Parade all in one room, thats how crowded it is..I love it!!!!!

One second you hear blah blah blah blah..swedish, arabic, persian, blah blah..then in a split second you understand everything because someone just walked by you and spoke english, like today I heard..'Look,there's that bulldog again....' blah blah blah...funny.
So I come home and Paul and I go pick up our package from Ellos, a clothing shop online. And of course I try it on etc etc, Paul asks me to get my bling bling sunglasses and he wants to take pictures of me in my one new outfit in front of the house..oh my god I am such a dork!!!!!
Needless to say in this next picture..I don't know WHAT that look is for but I look like..'yeah I'm cool shit'..fact is I was trying not to smile because Paul told me to smile. He wanted a close-up..ewwwww

Weird shit....

So Paul was looking around at other people's blogs and found a link to http://www.simpsonsmovie.com/....We made 'us' avatars as Simpsons characters..oi!

Then he got to looking on someone else's blog and found a kitty website...This has to be my favourite pic! Reminds me of the cats my mom had once. They were freaks! Always into trouble wrecking something....

Wahoo.....

So I finally have 4 days off of work before I start working 9 days straight. I think I might die. I know I will survive and thank god this is only a summer job. There is nothing worse then standing in front of a hot stove cooking for a bunch of customers for hours on end....and working in this busy place for 10 hours straight with no break at all.......Ugh!!!!!!! Ok, so I work as a chef in an American cafe here in Sweden. I should be happy I get to see some food items from home, but somedays I think.."shit I could just go to the ICA Focus store in Gamlestad and just buy the shit myself instead of working here"...kidding....I don't actually think that way, but I should..hehe

I don't really have anything to blog much about because I have been a busy bee with work and spending time with Paul and Grace and Mark and thats pretty much it. I did get to read up on some other peoples blogs that I LOVE reading like crazy. It felt good to come home and sit here and take my time reading through them. I love Village Tales and Bitter Balls, they just crack me up. Then there is Maja...always love to see what she's been up to as well.

So anyways Grace and Mark are about to leave to go back home to Australia...there was a dinner party, or two, or more I should say for them and we had fun.....

Everytime I take a picture of Grace she has her mouth open..what the heck?
lol

See!! Mouth open....

And of course after I tell her of this, Mark mocks her..hehe

Errrrr looky at the wittle dolly!....

Peace man................

Oh yeah, I have a few more crappy pictures on my photos page. I dunno why but my cell phone camera is CRAP when the light isn't bright. Otherwise it rocks. That and when people move it gets blurry. Why the hell do people got to move all the damn time?

Out!

We went out for lunch in central Gothenburg today with Paul's childhood friend Grace, and her boyfriend Mark. They flew in from Sydney Australia a week ago and I have to say they are the coolest people ever. He is actually from London and her from here in Sweden, but they live there together and it was nice to finally meet her. I think Grace and I are a lot alike. We are a little bold and say whatever. She makes me crack up!

Paul and I..

Days off !!

So it's monday and I finally have today and tomorrow off after working a very busy week and weekend. I just can't get over how many people come into the place, filling up every seat inside and out and also standing in a line all the way out the door on the sidewalk..it's crazy! So I just cook food for everyone for hours on end non-stop....I love my job! It's a lot but I love it.

Yesterday when I came home from work there were a lot of people here. Lots of food etc..it was nice. Pauls childhood friend came in from Australia with her boyfriend and the party was basically for her. She is really cool and I like her a lot. We got into some conversations about the difference between Sweden and Australia..and it turns out that Oz is SO much like the USA...if you get sick and miss work you lose money if your out of sick days etc etc...child care is expensive..just everything they told me is so much like home. Made me glad I live here. Also you have to pay for the ambulance if you have to get rushed to the hospital in Aust...same in the US..not here in Sweden..it doesn't cost you anything..funny how the world works.

Well I have a few things to do around here....waking up close to noon is going to make my day very short but at least I got to sleep this late instead of waking up at 4 am for work..lol
