Louisianna woman Mississippi man

Well, I go back to work tomorrow for 4 days before New Years.

My kids got some cool presents.
My youngest got a Wii among other things and my oldest got his first cell phone and a bunch of other stuff. He is almost 13...shit. I can't get over how old he is already, and the fact that I have been a mother this long. It doesn't seem that long. I wonder if I will be saying this when he is 20? Both boys will turn 11(Chandler) and 13(Caleb) in February 2 days apart. So now I have to start looking already for birthday presents for them because usually it takes me that long to decide.

I think I should get Chandler games for his Wii but Caleb? God I have no idea. Especially now that he is getting older, going on 13, I feel it's getting tougher. I can't just buy him baby games anymore. It's all sophisticated stuff now and he has everything you can imagine...Pc, mp3 player, game systems with games( too many) digital camera, and a mobile...now what????

Chandler has every Lego known to man along with every Pokemon card and also a variety of game systems with too many games as it is. Like I said he will be 11, and he loves to read...if anyone has ideas for books or anything else????

I need ideas for both of them and if anyone has any ideas please please god help. I need it.

For the sake of these two brats.....

Help!!!!!!!

I hate turning 32

Not anything really going on.

It's got to be the worst thing to be born on today of all days.
Well it is, I should know.

Why so damn close to christmas?
I should be old enough not to really care anymore and in most ways I don't.
I think for the most part it would be better if it was just forgotten.

I could just wake in the morning and it would be as if it was just another day.

Most people get a big party. I don't. Ah well. (sorry for those who do)

EDIT:
Just so my message here is not missconstrued....i dont want a party...never did..and as i said in the beginning..or a few sentences back i said that it would be better if it was just forgotten. However, any part that someone wishes to try to make that day better for me, I'm not going to put down because I appreciate all thats done for me. I just want to make that clear so nobody gets the wrong idea of what I am trying to say here. Anyways, lets move on!..It's christmas!!

Little x-mas get together

Just a few pictures of my school christmas party today, was also the very last day of school for me for good!

My teachers from left Klas, Calle, och Staffan

Left to right..Olfie,Tatiana,Shaema

Of course the rest of the pictures are on my photos page.

I got to eat foods from other countries too as we all brought something in to eat. The one thing I ate was turkish food. It was rice wrapped inside of grape leaves with this very strong flavor that was ok if you ate only a little, I couldn't eat more then one leaf. I ate food also from taiwan which tasted just like the food I eat here at home, pinoy... I had some desert from Macedonia...it was 'ok' ... There was a bit of everything, quite interesting.

This is something I came by on MOGLI's" Blog

Yeah yeah I tried it...except for the last one, was not sticking my boobs on the keyboard. I had to press the back of my ear though, wonder if thats cheating? Its not that hard if you concentrate!

Whoop!

Well, today I found out the results of my SFI Prov test.
I am officially bi-lingual!
I have finished my course and passed with flying colors..thank god!!!!!!!!!
I was actually a little concerned.
Yesterday night was also my christmas party at work. I got home just after midnight I think and had to wake at 5.30am so I could go to school. I had quite a bit to drink and managed to sober up enough to make it home. It's a long 45 minutes to get here from there. So anyways We had a mix of mexican and american food...we drank and drank and we did some traditional things like apparently swedes have these drinking songs that you sing quickly before you take a shot of something. I don't know the songs but I took the shots...they tasted like floor cleaner.

Here are a few pictures from the night. Because of the low lighting my mobil camera was shit. I'll put the rest on my photos page.
Joakim,Kalle and me
Most of everyone....
Patrik of course!

Jealousy

It works in mysterious ways doesn't it?
It can turn things really ugly.
Like me.

Well ok I won't get ugly about it but I am jealous.
I get an email from my mom, my momma!
I don't like to share her even though I have brothers and a sister. If it were up to me I would keep her to myself.

I know she will read this too...

So in this email mom says that she is going to my sisters house to make christmas cookies.
Oh come on!! I want to go, I want to help..I want to do this with my sister and my mom together. I will share her in this aspect. We haven't made cookies in so long together, and here I am thousands of miles away in another country and I can't make christmas cookies with my momma.

My sister gets to have her all to herself, naturally...yeah I'm jealous..crap. I miss my mom.
I don't like to be jealous but sometimes I can't help it. It's not an ugly thing it's just I miss her I guess. Ok I don't guess, of course I miss her.

I miss my sister too and I wonder to myself, why in the world when I was living in the USA did we not do these things then? What the hell is wrong with us? We must be stupid.

Anyways, I am sad about this missed opportunity.
That's life I suppose.

EDIT:
A little something to make me happy again. And maybe make you laugh too.

A fireman is working on the engine outside the station when he notices a little boy next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the side. The boy is wearing a fire fighter's helmet and has the wagon tied to a dog and a cat.

The fireman says, "Hey little partner, what are you doing?"
The little boy says, "I'm pretending to be a fireman, and this is my fire truck."

The fireman walks over to take a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire truck," the fireman says with admiration.
"Thanks mister," the boy says.

The fireman looks a little closer and notices the boy has tied the wagon to the dog's collar, and to the cat's testicles.
"Little partner," the fireman says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your fire truck, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster.

"The little boy says, "You're probably right mister but, then I wouldn't have a siren."

It was found on this guys blog

Stuff.....

Just a few pix..This first one is of my co-worker Patrik. He's half american-half swedish and today he was being very American. I mean come on... look at this guy!..lol...weird! But he's hilarious and fun to work with. He was saying in this pic "Oohhhhh look at me look at meeee!!

Then we have Steve who is in my class. He actually lived VERY near me in the USA, only 20 minutes away.. We had exams on Monday and he was hungover as you can tell.

This is of my one friend Veronica, me and Steve after a few tests. We had a break at this point. I don't know why my mobile got fuzzy.

Anywho, thats it really.
Oh yeah, this is me while we set up for Christmas here around the house with a star balancing on my head. (Wasn't easy!)
And our tree!!

The wonders of cutlery

When I first came to Sweden I ate as I normally ate. With my fork. Nothing else. I cut with my fork, I picked food up with my fork and I shoveled my food in my mouth with my fork. Nothing graceful about it. Just pure indulgence.

Now...I noticed after being here a week I think....?...that everyone around me ate with two pieces of silverware, a fork and a knife. Quite graceful actually. I thought about it and looked at how I ate and I felt odd, almost barbaric with the way I handled my food.

So, I attempted this fork and knife together thingy and it felt awkward in my hands...so I switched hands and put the knife in my left and fork in my right hand. Cutting was strange and I couldn't figure out how to pick up food with the fork upside down like everyone else, or turned the other way you might say. The food slipped off. Always. After some practice I found myself able to do this and I didn't feel so much the barbarian shoveling food in my face.

I eat this way now without even thinking about it and attempting to eat with only a fork? No thanks. THAT actually feels awkward now. I'll use both hands thank you, knife in the left, fork in my right.

Now I actually have some etiquette, considering what I do for a living, I should of had this etiquette a long time ago...

I thought about this as I read Hairy Swede's Blog. It is oh so true...If you read his article about The Nobel Prize Dinner here in Sweden, you'll see exactly what I am talking about. Made me laugh!

Dryers

Well it is soon time for christmas. My parents' dryer has died so I decided to buy them a new one through the idea of my husband. I actually have finished all of my shopping which is an absolute miracle! This however, has to wait until just after christmas by a few days to arrive.

Usually I am waiting until the last minute to get the rest of the things that I need for everyone, rushing around the mall like a crazed person loving it, but this year I can actually relax and we still have what? 2 weeks to go!?

Anyways, I don't really have anything to report other then the ugly cold rain. The dark short endless days. And final exams for Tuesday and Wednesday. God I hope I pass! Jag skulle skriva mer på min svenska websidan...sigh* Om jag prata mer svenska på mitt job, kanske vill jag inte glömma den............

Hot Tamale

I made tamales.
I freaking made tamales here in Sweden.
I knew god was good to me. Even though I don't have the exact ingredients, it is possible to make them here.

blah blah blah

I have been neglecting my blog. Been busy etc etc. Soon I might have something to write about.

Actually if you want to read something funny, go HERE to this website. This article was like 4 pages long but the read goes fast. This is something that actually happened as 'Lowtax' is a co-owner of the site http://www.somethingawful.com/ They like to mess with people. It's crazy. This was just done on ICQ as mentioned in the beginning, so basically you'll just read their conversation. You can go to the next page at the bottom after you read the first part of it. You can almost miss it I think.
